Management’s extensive track record has resulted in appropriate experience and successes that can be adopted and adapted in Africa. These include, among others:
Europe
- Comprehensive experience in the later 2000’s in several states in Russia on units up to 300,000 hectares in size where crop yields were usually doubled and costs considerably reduced. Local management was trained up to run the agribusinesses with the full support of the local community Crop storage systems and logistics employed on smaller-scale units were further refined to cope with the larger scale.
- Several large scale units up to 5,000 hectares were turned around during the late 1990’s in Poland where again yields were doubled and costs reduced. The experience gained here in larger-scale farming including local staff training was further developed in the Russian agribusinesses.
- Considerable experience was also gained in the UK on above-average size units for that country where the application of cutting edge technology was developed in conjunction with input manufacturers.
Africa
- Considerable experience at varying levels has been gained in a number of African countries such as the DRC, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
